Shipping, Cancellations & Returns
Personalized printing has a proof stage and a production stage. This policy makes the boundary—and every additional charge—clear before you commit.
1. Why there can be two payments
The \$49.99 Physical book + PDF plan pays for the PDF and includes one 8.5 in square case-wrap hardcover. It does not pre-charge an estimated delivery amount. A PDF book can later add the same hardcover for \$20.00.
Only after the final proof is approved do we request a live production and delivery quote. A separate checkout then shows the recipient, address, print specification, shipping method, shipping amount, any applicable tax, estimated timing, and complete fulfillment total. Nothing is submitted to production until that step is paid and confirmed.
2. Proof and address approval
Review every page, name, illustration, crop, text-safe area, cover, spine where applicable, and blank page. You also must review the full delivery address. Approval authorizes production of that exact proof and shipment to that exact address.
Contact contact@neextlayer.com immediately if you notice an error. We can cancel only while the order has not entered production. Once production begins, user-approved content or address changes normally require a new order.
3. Production, shipment, and delays
The quote or checkout will show the best current production and delivery estimate. Carrier scans and delivery dates are estimates unless expressly guaranteed. If shipment cannot occur within the represented time—or within 30 days if no time was represented—we will request your consent to a revised date or cancel and promptly refund the unshipped physical order.
If a package appears lost, contact us directly. We will investigate with our production or delivery partner and provide a replacement, reprint, refund, or other remedy as appropriate.
4. Personalized items and change-of-mind returns
After proof approval and production submission, each book is made specifically for you. We do not accept change-of-mind returns, returns because the recipient no longer wants the book, or returns for text, design, crop, or address details that matched the proof and address you approved.
This final-sale rule never removes remedies for damage, manufacturing defects, a material mismatch from the approved proof, nondelivery, an unauthorized charge, or rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
5. Damaged or defective books
Contact contact@neextlayer.com within 30 days after delivery or the stated delivery date. Include the order number, a description, photographs of the packaging and defect, and images showing the affected pages or cover. Keep the item and packaging until we confirm whether they are needed.
Verified manufacturing or shipping defects are normally handled online through a reprint or replacement. A physical return is usually not required. Depending on the issue and law, we may instead repair, refund, or offer another appropriate remedy.
6. Refund method and timing
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method unless law requires another method. Shipping paid for an order we cannot ship is refunded with that unshipped order. Bank posting time is outside our control after Stripe confirms the refund.
Credits or coupons are not substituted for a legally required cash or original-method refund unless you affirmatively choose that alternative where permitted.
7. Returns and return address
Do not mail a personalized book to us or any production address without written instructions. Because most verified defects are resolved from photographs and a reprint, an unsolicited physical return may not be recoverable or necessary. If a return is required, we will provide the authorized address and instructions for that specific claim. Our business address is listed in the Terms and Conditions.
